WELCOME BACK!!!

I love the start of a new school year!!!  This week we are working on place value to the billions.  Students are working on reading, writing, comparing, and ordering larger numbers.  We will be conducting our first experiment this week too!

Addition and Subtraction

We are moving right along this week in math!  Last week we worked on bigger digit addition.  This week we are working on subtraction in the classroom.  We are making sure that we check our subtraction with addition to catch any mistakes that we might have made along the way!  Create problems at home to practice addition and subtraction!

Meet the Teacher Night

August 31, 2010 is Meet the Teacher Night at Townley Elementary.  I look forward to meeting all of my wonderful parents.   There are two sessions.  If you are not able to make it at 5:30, you may attend another session with the same information at 6:30. Miss Tumlinson and I will be presenting together in room 502.  We look forward to meeting you tomorrow night!
